Ethical Requirements and Authors' Responsibility

RJCCN is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, scientific integrity, and transparency. All authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to follow internationally recognized ethical guidelines.

Authorship Criteria

Authorship must comply with the ICMJE recommendations. An author must meet all four of the following criteria:

  1. Substantial contributions to the conception, design, data acquisition, or analysis

  2. Drafting or critically revising the manuscript for important intellectual content

  3. Final approval of the version to be published

  4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work

Changes in authorship after submission must be approved by all authors and explained to the Editorial Office.

Originality and Duplicate Submission

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Previously published data, including conference abstracts, must be properly cited.

  • Manuscripts containing plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification will be rejected or retracted, in line with COPE guidelines.

Plagiarism and Similarity Check

  • All submissions are screened using recognized plagiarism detection software (e.g., iThenticate).

  • Similarity index above 20% (excluding references and methodology) may result in rejection.

  • Authors must ensure all sources are properly cited.

Conflict of Interest (COI) and Funding Disclosure

  • Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the work.

  • All COIs must be declared in the manuscript and on the RJCCN COI Disclosure Form (Download Form).

  • Funding sources must be explicitly acknowledged.

Ethical Approval for Human and Animal Research

Human Studies

  • Must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki (link).

  • Research must be approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee.

  • Informed consent must be obtained from all participants.

Animal Studies

  • Must comply with internationally accepted animal welfare guidelines.

  • Approval from an appropriate animal ethics committee is required.

Retractions, Corrections, and Editorial Oversight

RJCCN maintains a transparent post-publication policy:

  • Corrections: Minor errors are corrected promptly with a published notice.

  • Retractions: Articles with serious ethical or scientific issues are retracted with explanation.

  • Retraction and correction notices remain linked to the original article and indexed.

Complaints and Ethical Violations

  • Concerns about ethics, misconduct, or conflicts can be reported to the Editor-in-Chief at info@rjccn.org or rjccn2024@gmail.com.

  • Complaints are handled confidentially in accordance with COPE guidelines.

AI Policy

Artificial intelligence (AI) tools may be used for language editing or manuscript preparation assistance. AI systems cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for all submitted content and must disclose AI use within the manuscript.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, originality, relevance, and ethical integrity. Editors operate independently from owners, sponsors, advertisers, and funding bodies.

Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Reviewers must declare conflicts of interest and maintain confidentiality.

  • Reviews should be objective, constructive, and evidence-based.

Data Sharing and Transparency

  • Authors are encouraged to share data, code, and materials whenever possible.

  • Clinical trial data must be registered in an approved registry (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov) and cited in the manuscript.
