Complaints and Appeals Policy
Purpose
RJCCN is committed to fair, transparent, and accountable editorial practices. Authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders may submit complaints regarding the journal's editorial processes, publication ethics, or published content.
Authors may also appeal editorial decisions when they believe a decision was based on a misunderstanding, procedural error, or overlooked information.
Complaints
Complaints may relate to:
- Editorial processes and procedures
- Peer-review practices
- Publication ethics concerns
- Alleged conflicts of interest
- Research misconduct
- Published content
- Delays in editorial handling
All complaints will be reviewed confidentially and fairly by the Editorial Office.
Appeals
Authors may appeal editorial decisions, including manuscript rejection.
Appeals should:
- Be submitted in writing.
- Clearly explain the basis for the appeal.
- Provide supporting evidence where applicable.
The appeal will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or another editor not involved in the original decision whenever possible.
Decisions
Following review, the journal may:
- Uphold the original decision.
- Request additional review.
- Reconsider the manuscript.
- Take corrective editorial action if warranted.
The Editor-in-Chief's decision shall be final.
Confidentiality
All complaints and appeals will be handled confidentially and in accordance with principles of fairness, transparency, and publication ethics.
Appeals Process
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a written explanation. Appeals will be reviewed by an editor not involved in the original decision whenever possible.
